Our Creative Team is growing! Our Art Directors will work with Creative Leadership, art and copy teams to ensure seasonal direction, established color palettes, maintain consistency in design, art direct photography and create a cohesive relationship between visual and written creative concepts.
Primary Responsibilities Could Include:
Creates advertising for concept campaigns, print, preprints, mailers and postcards. Guides the conversion of these ideas into effective retail advertising design to promote immediate sales and achieve the Company’s fashion/brand image goals.
Creates all digital advertising tactics including website home/landing pages, banners, emails, mobile, tablet and new media used to generate store traffic and online sales.
Collaborates with Project Managers & Merchandisers to ensure planned apparel is creatively appropriate for the concepted layout.
Guides the conversion of these programs into effective retail advertising design to promote immediate sales and to achieve the company’s current brand image.
Extracting vital information from abstract or otherwise technical creative briefs and converting into exciting advertising design that will motivate potential customers to buy.
Checks all art or photography to ensure factual accuracy, adequacy of selling message, creative effectiveness and compliance with vendor/co-op regulations before submitting to senior management for review and approval.
Creates new graphic formats or implements formats approved by the creative leadership, as required, to meet the needs of individual promotional goals, regional variations, and general economic climate.
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design or Advertising, preferred
1-7 years of Art Direction or Graphic Design experience in brand advertising; retail, apparel or home category preferred.
Excellent knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles; media production, exhibit clear communication skills and ability to portray a high taste level in all media.
Demonstrates creative leadership, aesthetic sensitivity, and ability to multi-task.
Excellent attention to detail and strong visualization skills.
Strong project management skills with the ability to meet required deadlines.
Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and other MAC based applications and design programs.
