About Me

I am a retired professor of Graphic Design at South Dakota State University and Wenzhou-Kean University in China. I presently teach online for Brigham Young University Idaho.

I've enjoyed many years in the profession in addition to many more years in higher education.

My work has appeared in Communication Arts, HOW, Creative Quarterly, Graphis, DSVC, UCDA, and the Taiwan International Poster exhibition. Additionally, my printmaking work is in 11 permanent Museum and University collections including the University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Richmond Museums, the Art Museum of South Dakota. My work has also been published in two Art and Design textbooks

Skills

I have many years in print media, sheetfed and web offset lithography. I know and use the Adobe programs of InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Current font fetish

I am quite partial to Gill Sans.

Dream Project

Hard to say.

I was told my work wasn't creative enough. I however, have won over 100 graphic design awards, including 2 platinum awards in Graphis.

Moral of the story: Be careful who you listen to!
