Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, developers and design teams on research activities, strategy sessions, ideation, design, and testing of new product concepts. Build empathy and be an advocate for our end users through participation in human-centered research and design. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research with prototypes to ensure usability and drive empathy towards all Seed Company products. Translate user needs, style guides, and requirements into elegant solutions for complex problems. Creates stylings, symbols, and typographic and visual design systems to be translated across all platforms to create cohesion across all Seed Company platforms. Leverage analytics tools to measure success, present opportunities, and support decision-making. Conceives and designs intuitive, engaging design solutions to satisfy various user experiences including websites, product user interfaces, and other digital initiatives, and all points in between (i.e., wireframes, flows, mockups, visual prototypes, and high-fidelity designs). Utilize Lean and Agile methodologies. Present research findings and design concepts to designers and product partners. OTHER DUTIES: Support Creative Director and Product Designers in developing, wireframes, visual designs, and delivering assets for development teams. Collaborate closely with Design and Product leadership to define your features and contribute to the overall direction of your product area. Assist with planning and conducting user research. Design and analyze usage metrics to inform product design decisions. Support definition of a common visual language between marketing materials and software product. Ability to maintain and continually refine a backlog of feature requests and defects. Creates and evaluates interaction models, user/task flows, screen designs, and UI/UX details to promote ease of use and optimize the user experience and design. Fosters continuous and collaborative communication between the product owner and development teams to ensure integration of front-end design to back-end functionality. Stays abreast of changing UI/UX design technologies, and corporate, organization, and industry standards to provide leading-edge interpretation and execution of design applications on all platforms.

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Strong faith in Jesus Christ as Savior; God-honoring lifestyle. Passion for the Word of God and provision of the Word for every people group. Champion of the Seed Company’s vision, mission, and values. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. A strong portfolio of work demonstrating web and mobile design. 5 years’ experience in a Sr. Product Designer or equivalent role. Thorough understanding of user-centered design principles and practices. Ability to balance user needs, technology constraints, and business goals to create a useful, usable, and desirable product. Excellent interaction and user interface design skills, including creating wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes in a highly collaborative environment. Experience designing applications across mobile, web, and desktop platforms; responsive design experience is a plus. Experience with workflow analysis and use of best practices. Working knowledge of Sketch, Adobe products, or other wireframing/prototyping/design tools. Experience with user research and testing is a plus. Strong conceptualization and visual design abilities. High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in an iterative, collaborative environment. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills across a variety of audiences. Adaptability, may not know everything but becomes the local expert quickly. Inventor and innovator with the ability to articulate big and breakthrough ideas.
