Job Description

The Choctaw Nation Division of Commerce Marketing team supports all of the businesses owned by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. The in-house design team supports a variety of industries including casinos, convenience stores, grocery stores, restaurants, hospitality, entertainment, agribusiness and tourism, to name a few. As a member of the creative team, you will work on a variety of campaigns and are responsible for ensuring all marketing and advertising align with the brand. This is a full-time, on-site position, but we do have offices in Durant, OK and Plano, TX. 


Job Responsibilities

Primary Tasks:

  • Design artwork, graphic solutions and concept ideas that communicate the positioning of several brands by following marketing/advertising production standards.
  • Create graphics for brochures, posters, manuals, books, advertising and digital campaigns, in-store POS, packaging, etc.
  • Recommend project layout/design for campaigns and oversee production from beginning to end.
  • Coordinate with marketing team members to ensure products are delivered within the agreed upon timeline.
  • Collaborate internally as well as with clients to conceptualize and execute creative solutions that can be translated across various media platforms.
  • Develop creative within brand guidelines and promotional templates.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications

Target:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Graphic Design or Advertising
  • Expert user on Mac
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with HTML and motion graphics a plus.
  • Knowledge of principles of design, including: layout, typography, color, balance, composition and current design trends
  • Familiarity with production requirements and working with outside vendors
  • Aptitude to work constructively under stress in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to apply and enforce style/brand guidelines
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational/communication skills
  • Five (5) years’ experience as a graphic designer with experience in advertising in a design and production environment  

 

Minimum:

  • Technical or Associate Degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communications
  • Expert user on Apple Macintosh
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Acrobat
  • Knowledge of principles of design, including: layout, typography, color, balance, composition and current design trends
  • Familiarity with production requirements and working with outside vendors
  • Aptitude to work constructively under stress in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to apply and enforce style/brand guidelines
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational/communication skills
  • Three (3) years’ experience as a graphic designer with experience in advertising in a design and production environment
