Job Description

POSITION Summary:

The Production Artist prepares files and graphics to meet specific needs such as images, logos, etc., by using a variety of mediums to achieve artistic effects.

 

Essential POSITION Functions:

·         Prepares files for print and digital delivery according to specs.

  • Development of guidelines, specifications, and tools to implement and manage a brand identity system.
  • Import text and art elements such as logos, photos, and documents from internal and external sources.
  • Strong coordination with the Design team as well as external partners to ensure creative intent
  • Proof and perform quality control.
  • Working with printers and other vendors to ensure production quality and deadlines.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Able to switch gears quickly and complete projects on time at the highest possible quality while adhering to company guidelines and standards.

  • An eye for quality and consistency and attention to detail.
  • Building and extending identity, collateral, and other communication systems to operate at scale
  • An immersed understanding of visual design fundamentals and ability to execute
  • Strong work ethic and personal accountability, communication skills, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Strong portfolio of design works, showing solution to business problems through effective design.
  • Must be efficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

Job Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in digital design, graphic design, graphic communications or related field.
  • 3+ years as an in-house or agency production artist.
  • Experience in production in a variety of print & digital products.
