Junior Interactive Designer
November 29th, 2018

Job Description

Switch is looking for a junior level interactive designer with 1-4 years of experience to join our Dallas office. Responsibilities will include user experience planning, wire framing, prototyping, and user interface design as important aspects of our holistic branding services. Candidates should have experience in both the strategic elements of interaction design, as well as a meticulous, detailed approach to graphic design within the context of web and mobile interfaces. A basic fluency in technical approaches and vocabulary (i.e., the ability to talk cohesively to our team of developers) will also be important, with front-end dev experience a plus, though not a requirement. A special emphasis will be placed on rock-solid typography skills within a responsive digital context.

Since we are primarily a branding studio, an alignment with each individual brand we create is important. Therefore, we look specifically for the ability to work within a diverse range of visual styles, and desire to push the envelope of what can be accomplished on the web.

You will work in cooperation with a creative director and senior interactive designer on a variety of digital contexts, including CMS-based websites (desktop and mobile), e-commerce platforms, and HTML emails. Since our shop is small, from time to time you might be asked to contribute to some small elements of branding or print work in addition to  your interactive work.

Position is full-time contract for 90 days starting in January 2019, with the possibility of a salaried position after the contract period expires. Candidate should be available to work out of our Dallas office for the full 90-day contract.
