Job Description

Position Duties:

The Lead Designer/Production Manager embraces the charge of visually communicating Mercury One’s message through all media platforms.

  • Create collateral, signage, digital and traditional print design for campaigns, general fundraising, donor cultivation, and events (examples of typical print projects include a Fall & Spring newsletter, annual report, event programs, promotional postcards, and other collateral)
  • Responsible for in-house design needs with quick turnarounds  
  • Follow creative direction from and work closely with the Director of Marketing-Communications
  • Coordinate with printers and vendors to ensure projects are designed within proper specifications and project manage the production timeline

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of experience and expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Minimum of a four-year degree in graphic design/marketing
  • Strong working knowledge of design, brand development, strategic thinking, interactive functionality, and creative process
  • Previous background in print production and knowledge of the printing process will be highly beneficial
  • High level of organization with attention to detail
  • Understanding of how to take current design trends and apply them to fundraising best practices to inspire people to give to the organization
  • Photography and web design/html experience is a plus
  • Current on advertising and marketing trends
  • Comfortable with in a fast-paced environment

Job Summary:Inspiration…this is what you find at Mercury One.  We employ intentional excellence in employees who want to carry out our mission and embody our values.  We are seeking an energetic and creative designer to join our growing organization and work with our Marketing/Communications department.  This position primarily focuses on print design, collateral, and digital projects (designing e-blasts, working within company website, etc.) and works within a schedule of typical office hours, Monday-Friday. Qualified candidates must be able to provide a portfolio, digital preferred. The lead graphic designer reports directly to the Marketing-Communications Director.
