Job Description

We’re expanding our internal creative team to service the Film + Music house of brands (Musicbed, FIlmsupply, and future ventures), and we need a top-notch Copywriter. We’re looking for a short-form specialist with a few years experience to write copy for our biggest campaigns, routine media channels, and everything in-between.

We need someone who knows how to nuance their tone/voice for different types of customers and is eager to get their gutsiest ideas approved. If this is you, we should talk. If you’re not too passionate about building your book or if you’re looking for a place to settle in and get comfortable, this role might not be right for you. We need a sharp, humble, hungry self-manager who approaches the work collaboratively.

Job Basics 

Work Location: Musicbed HQ, Ft. Worth, Texas, USA 
Title: Copywriter
Department(s): Marketing
Reports to: Art Director
Hours: 40 hours per week

 


Job Responsibilities

Core Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with the Art Director to define key campaign messages, taglines, etc.

  • Write copy for campaign deliverables (microsites, landing pages, emails, social and digital ads, print pieces, press kits, etc.)

  • Write copy for routine media channels (segmented emails, digital ads)

  • Occasionally write marketing blog posts (case studies, product–related posts, event recaps, SEO-focused, and other non-interview style posts)

  • Understand and develop voice and tone guidelines and maintain them across all mediums

  • Research and develop a strong understanding of the filmmaking industry and the various roles, responsibilities, and jargon associated within each segment of our customers

  • Edit and refine copy in every media channel to maximize conversions wherever possible

  • Produce error-free content that is high-quality, original, and accurate

  • Collaborate with Graphic Designers to make every deliverable customized and impactful


Job Qualifications

A great candidate has:

  • A portfolio that demonstrates consistency, professionalism, and wit

  • Experience writing for a brand over the course of several months or more

  • Experience writing short form copy in a variety of deliverables

  • Experience writing copy in an ad agency or marketing department

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A humble spirit and a willingness to learn and grow

  • Ability to deliver and receive candid feedback and coaching

  • Ability to work in team-centered, highly collaborative environment

  • Bonus: A love for film and/or music
