Job Description


This design position will be responsible for a variety of design projects from conception to release. Will work in conjunction with all marketing teams to develop marketing materials for all brands. Work on research and design specific to each assigned project. Will assist other graphic designers with various projects as needed.  Creative designs could include, but are not limited to brochures, posters, postcards, ads, flyers, displays, power point presentations, etc.  These marketing materials are in support of high school and college products (including rings, graduation announcements, etc.). Manage work flow through the production/design area ensuring all projects are completed accurately and on time.

Job Responsibilities


  • Establish and work to achieve communications objectives for assigned business divisions
  • Participate in communications planning that complements and supports divisional marketing plans
  • Work with product management and marketing manager to develop concepts and designs for marketing materials
  • Ensure all projects adhere to corporate guidelines, requestor's input, and grammar/spelling standards
  • Ensure the quality of graphics, text, and other elements that influence corporate image
  • Ensure all projects follow the pre-flight guidelines prior to releasing to print
  • Work closely with print vendors (photographers and color houses) when necessary to communicate information on print files, specs, etc.
  • Must be attentive to detail when following layout specifications and corrections
  • Manage work flow through production/design area - ensure workloads are even and that all projects are completed on time
  • Complete graphic production for each assigned project
  • As projects are completed, ensure each is filed per the electronic archive guidelines
  • Responsible for over-all quality and design of all projects
  • Recommend equipment and training in support of the department's graphic designers
  • Define processes/procedures to be utilized by the graphic designers


Job Qualifications


  • Extensive experience on Mac computers in graphic design software such as Quark, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Must be familiar with a variety of design concepts, practices and procedures.  A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. 
  • Creative, detail-oriented, organized, with ability to work in a high activity environment
  • Experienced in all types of print design. Web design and other media design a plus.
  • Must be efficient in all design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign), Dreamweaver and Flash a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple jobs at the same time is a must
  • Able to switch gears quickly and complete projects on time at the highest possible quality while adhering to company guidelines and standards


  • BA in graphic design or other related field
  • 2+ years experience in design environment preferably in MarCom or creative services group
