Job Description

The Social Media Marketing Coordinator is responsible for driving both iterative and innovative social media solutions for all of Garrett’s social channels. This role requires you to build, interact, and maintain the brand’s presence across all social outlets. Day to day you lead the charge on posting, sharing, creating and reposting
content. This position also involves basic copywriting and editing, and various other marketing creative projects. Position reports to the Marketing Director.

Job Responsibilities

• Expert using, interacting, and monitoring all social media channels and applications
• Understanding and properly utilizing hashtags
• Create, maintain and manage social media calendar
• Ability to conceive, launch and execute social campaigns
• Provide detailed reports of social interactions and statistics
• Ability to identify peak user engagement times
• Self manage projects from initial conception to completion
• Ability to write short, attention-grabbing sentences for posts
• Ability to copywrite basic company correspondence, including marketing-related updates for Garrett dealers and distributors
• Comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
• Ability to pitch ideas
• Ability to analyze web dashboard to assist company Sales Department with social media selling; analyze how users are navigating company website; remain aware of developing trends in social media advertising techniques.
• Ability to proofread marketing and corporate documents prior to release to a printer

What You Will Be Doing:
• Posting relevant content every day
• Managing social campaigns, promotions and giveaways
• Serve as liaision for European social media content vendor, supplying images and content as needed for the company’s country-specific social media platforms
• Recommending, researching and contacting industry influencers for cross promotions
• Assist Marketing Director with writing basic copy as needed
• Creating relevant, thoughtful, well written and executed social posts
• Interacting, liking and answering questions from customers
• Monitoring trends in creative content from competitors
• Working with graphic designers on creating content

• Assisting with creation of advertisements and other projects as needed
• Creating a posting schedule
• Creating content from scratch
• Proofreading and copy editing of marketing and corporate documents, as needed
• Posting content when traveling on company business (i.e. trade show, rally)

Job Qualifications

• A team player with a positive attitude
• Basic working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop + Illustrator)
• Basic knowledge of file types, JPGs, PNGs, PSD, etc.
• Bachelors in Marketing, Business, Journalism, or similar
• Requires 3+ years of professional experience
• Proven record of successful previous social media campaigns
• Excellent communication, grammar and people skills
• Travel as needed for trade shows, sales events, rallies, and photo shoots
