VIDEO EDITING VIDEO PRODUCTION


Job Description

The Gig …  
-Working with Christ Chapel’s Creative Arts Director and leading the in-house video team 
-Brainstorming, planning, leading and managing multiple priority projects simultaneously from concept to creation, while ensuring budget, deadlines, design standards and best practices are met  
-Regularly researching technology trends to make sure CCBC is on the leading edge of video styles for the many unique groups and communities we serve  

 


Job Responsibilities

The Work … 
-Overseeing all stages of video creation from dreaming up out-of-the-box ideas to delivering on their creation 
-Never a dull day 
-Working to ensure each production has the appropriate crew, supplies and equipment 
-Rewarding because it’s for Jesus. 
-Taking the video ideas of Christ Chapel ministries and expanding and improving them to deliver the best product possible 
-Throwing Frisbees when the weather is beautiful 
-Being a joy to supervise 


Job Qualifications

Must Haves … 
-Someone who loves and lives for Jesus. You know that grace is the magic word and that the Church is the light of the world, and as a result you are daily pursuing a relationship with God. 
-Minimum seven years’ experience with all matters of video production and editing 
-Superior working knowledge of pre-production, organization, lighting, sound, grip, directing, cameras, editing, motion graphics, compositing and delivery via various media and formats 
-Expertise in telling a good story (aka, you possess a sense and discernment for story and audience) that delivers on both creative and commercial levels 
-Willingness to play well with others — the in-house team, our different ministries and third-party vendors 
-Passion for how the Church communicates to the community and the congregation 
-Strong working knowledge of video editing software; preferably the Adobe Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator 
-Understanding of current media trends and desire to keep up to date with technology 
-Ability to multi-task 
-Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly 
-Critical thinking skills 
-Ability to lead and mentor other video producers and interns 
-Team player attitude, but capable of self-management 
-Ability to lift 20 pounds 
-Brainstorming capabilities 
-Good written language skills 
-An eye for detail 
-Willingness to make Christ Chapel your church home and embrace CCBC’s doctrinal position and constitution without reservation 
-A knack for seeing oncoming communication trends 
-Follow-through on highly creative ideas 
-Willingness to implement in all projects the creative process and design standards of Christ Chapel’s brand to ensure the brand remains relevant 
-Ability to provide stellar customer service 
-Desire to always be learning and growing professionally to hone video skills
