Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our team in Dallas, TX. This role requires collaboration with fellow communication designers, copywriters, the product design team, and various outside vendors. They will work directly with design leadership to support the company’s growth strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  • ‚ÄčConcepting, designing and producing a wide range of creative work by studying relevant information and materials.
  • Preparing final art for digital or print use.
  • Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
  • Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
  • Communicating with our internal teams about layout and design.
  • Specifying paper and writing print or interactive specs.
  • Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.

Job Qualifications

  • Up to 3 years’ experience working in Graphic Design or in related field.
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.
  • A strong eye for visual composition.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience and comfort having empathetic personal conversations with team members, customers, partners, members, etc.
  • Ability to “Seek first to understand, before being understood.”
  • Ability to design collaboratively and a healthy appreciation for asking and answering “why?”
  • Ability to be hands-on and work with others in all aspects of our organization.
  • Ability to manage time wisely across projects and competing priorities, meet agreed upon deadlines, and be accountable for work.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment with a proven ability to adapt.
  • Strong communicator — written, verbal, visual, etc.
  • A strong enthusiasm for celebrating individual and collective successes each week in pursuit of our mission.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn and be a part of a dynamic team.
  • Proficiencies with, and understanding of, various design and collaboration tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Skype, Slack, etc.). Ability to pick up and learn new tools as needed is greatly appreciated.
  • Bonus: experience in a caregiving role (either direct or indirect) where you truly understand and empathize with what a family goes through would be incredible!
  • Must have the ability to have fun!
