Job Description

Raising Cane’s is seeking an ONSITE Communications Manager to be based in its Plano Restaurant Support Office. This role is primarily responsible for driving the internal communications strategy and site development for the company’s internal communications mobile app. The Communications Manager will utilize internal communications experience to serve as the company’s primary point person for all aspects of the company’s internally focused mobile application platform, including adoption, engagement, planning, developing, publishing and monitoring all communications content that appears on the internally focused mobile application – news articles, videos, executive communications, forums, blogs, training documents, biographies and a variety of other communications – ensuring they are aligned with the Company’s Vision, Mission and Culture, and are developed to Raising Cane’s high standards.

As part of the Communications team, the Communications Manager will also develop a wide variety of internal communications, weekly newsletters and documents, coordinate communications to the Restaurants and RSOs and help plan & coordinate Company events, as needed. This position will lead our growing app team and have the opportunity to learn from and work alongside our multi-functional Team.


Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as an innovation expert for internal communications tools, staying abreast of trends and tools, and providing direction and assistance on the development of new and effective ways to communicate via our current and future channels
  • Drive the overall editorial content strategy and calendar for the company’s internally focused communications app including articles, documents, videos, photos, cultural pieces and more
  • Manage adoptions and all aspects of analytical data and highlight calls of action to improve engagement of internally focused communications app
  • Consult with internal teams, including Multimedia and Design, to drive engagement for the app
  • Help lead ideation and content creation targeted for our internal audiences – Restaurant Crewmembers, Restaurant Managers, Franchise Partners and RSO Crewmembers
  • Manage the overall workflow of app content submissions and requests from internal departments throughout the Company – serving as a gatekeeper for content and ensuring content is developed on time and meets Raising Cane’s standards
  • Serve as the first line of troubleshooting and counsel across the organization for app issues, solutions, content creation, organization of content and functionality of the utility
  • Analyze app site information, including usage trends, click-through rates, and recommend improvements to continually evolve the utility
  • Manage Communications Specialist dedicated to the mobile application

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required – emphasis on Communications, Journalism or English preferred
  • 5-7+ years communications experience required – emphasis on internal or field communications preferred
  • Solid understanding of internal communications mobile application strategy and execution, in addition to maintenance
  • Experience managing a Company Intranet/Internal Mobile Application or Social Media experience a plus
  • Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop preferred
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines under direct supervision and independently
  • Effective and consistent communication with colleagues and our vendors
  • Commitment to highest production quality on all projects
  • Ability to handle stressful and time sensitive situations in a cool, effective manner
  • Ability to work well with others
