Job Description

The Dealey Group is looking for a kick-a** Graphic Designer with 2—5-ish years experience. It’s not really about how long you’ve been designing; it’s more about how much you love designing. We need someone who isn’t afraid to push things creatively; who thinks of the wild look & feel, yet who also has a classic sensibility and strong technical skills. Illustration, typography skills and animation skills are awesome, but of course we don’t expect you to be a master of all things. We just want you to love making stuff.

Job Responsibilities

  • Bring exceptional creative thought and crafted ideas/designs to the table

  • Work closely with art director and creative directors to produce great work including, but not limited to: a wide variety of layouts, logos, banner ads, presentations, web & social content, signage, illustration, typography treatments, and cool stuff in general

  • Balance creative thinking and client direction to translate concepts into inspired, on-brand design deliverables that define, elevate and differentiate our clients

  • Able to execute projects with guidelines, as well as concepting for projects that are more open-ended and offer the opportunity for more creative/unique design

  • Manage workflow efficiently and take responsibility for timing and delivery

  • Gain an understanding of the target audience and business objective for the campaign

  • Partner with the account management team to fully understand the client's situation and project requirements

  • Produce sketches, storyboards or comps to communicate ideas to the client

  • Attend client calls as needed to be briefed on projects, pitch work and/or receive feedback

  • Must be able to fully produce final print and digital ads

  • Attend meetings at production houses and with other creatives

  • Understand production possibilities and limitations, both technical and financial

  • Work well with vendors

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a wide variety of computer, technical and creative skills to produce both traditional and digital work (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud Suite; Experience with Adobe XD, Muse & Spark a plus.)

  • Basic understanding of UX design appreciated; Illustration, InDesign, animation and editing skills a major plus
