Job Description

You will be a lead designer working in a fast-paced environment on projects ranging from packaging to print to web — you name it. Your portfolio is outstanding, current and contemporary — it demonstrates powerful ideation, creatively woven words and masterful graphics. The ideal candidate is a known self-starter with leadership qualities. You will be working directly with clients, staff and vendors. You will be reporting directly to the president of the company who will be bringing in jobs for you to run with. You will be working with the sales staff to help promote the company. You job will be to grow the company via your god-given skills and your ability to articulate yourself with engineered precision. In a nutshell, you are looking for a position that puts you in the drivers seat.

Job Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for working directly with the client, president and account director. You will be managing project accounting for yourself and compliance for the rest of the studio staff. You will be working directly with clients and will be making design decisions based on the firms recommendations and your professional opinion. You will be expected to articulate your ideas to the client as well as the studio staff. You will be working in a team environment and will be expected to contribute on a daily basis to the creative process. You will be working independently without heavy supervision creating and producing a wide array of branding and marketing materials, from concept to print to web. You have tremendous social media skills and can multi-task on projects. You will work with the creative team to meet deadlines and manage project loads. — Develop strong spot-on ideation — Collaborate and contribute with the creative team — Ability to pick up and run with any number of jobs or tasks that need attention at any given time — Master of the English language, excellent spelling, grammar and editing — Possess excellent communication skills, capable of talking ideas and concepts through with a customer — Can lead by example in all areas — Can demonstrate strong work ethics — Can be responsible for overseeing all work coming out of the firm — Can oversee other designers and help coordinate efforts — Will manage workflow, opening and closing jobs and submitting audited billing documentation — Wear many hats — Support Sales with ongoing promotional ideas

Job Qualifications

— Master of Adobe Creative Suite — Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design etc. — Master of Microsoft suite — Word, Power Point and Excel etc. — You can manage print production, including coordinating and gathering specs and preparing files for press — You have expertise with social media apps (FB, LI, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) — You can manage production process for digital media (cuts, style guides, color space, file compression, layer comps, smart objects, exporting, batch processing, etc.) — You can specify for web, create wireframes and develop site plans — You have working knowledge of SEO strategic planning, implementation and testing is a plus — You have wordpress and e-commerce experience, HTML/CSS/JavaScript/Flash/Responsive and mobile technology — You can animate and can use After Effects Minimum: Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design or similar Ongoing educational experiences a plus Additional degree in English a plus Related work experience expected.
